21 Nov to 13 Dec WA Ballet: The Nutcracker Theatre|Dance|Film

Set in a 19th century English winter wonderland, this magical, classical ballet will capture the heart and mind of the whole family as you’re transported to the wonderful world of brave toy soldiers and dancing sugar canes. Join Clara on her adventure as she battles the evil Mouse King with her Nutcracker soldier, visits the captivating Land of Sweets and revels in the iconic dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. The breathtaking costumes and majestic scenery will enchant you as Tchaikovsky’s beloved music comes to life.

6 Dec Handel’s Samson Music|Concerts

St George's Concert Series brings the legendary story of Samson and Delilah to Perth. Samson requires a large and rich Baroque orchestra, and features the famous Let the Bright Seraphim. This magical aria, sung by Kiri te Kanawa at the wedding of Charles and Diana, will belong to the wonderful Sara Macliver. In WA's first chance to witness a professional performance of Samson, WA's leading instrumentalists, soloists and choral ensemble will be directed by Dr Joseph Nolan, known for his meticulous and passionate approach, all of which makes this unique production unmissable.

12 Dec WASO: Symphony in the City Music|Concerts

This spectacular free event has become a highlight of the summer calendar for thousands of concert-goers in Perth. Symphony in the City is Perth’s largest free outdoor classical music concert and is the signal that summer has arrived and Christmas is around the corner. Join the Orchestra, WASO Chorus and special guest soloists for a fun-filled evening that features exciting, beautiful and heart melting music from your favourite classical works and film music scores. As always, the concert will conclude with Tchaikovsky’s famous 1812 Overture accompanied by a pyrotechnics display. Save the date now and join us for a magical night under the stars.
